Infinity War Promises More Iron Man-Captain America Conflict

Although Captain America: Civil War ended with Steve Rogers reaching out to Tony Stark, it appears there may still be some bad blood between the heroes in Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War.

Speaking with USA Today, star Robert Downey Jr. teases more of the conflict between Iron Man and Chris Evans’ Captain America. “I look at Evans and I just to want to go over and smell him or tell him he looks cool in those sunglasses when he’s walking over to have lunch,” he joked. “And then I’m just staring daggers at him, getting mad. But even that relationship is going to take a turn.”

So, how can the relationship between the two characters take another turn after their emotionally and physically brutal confrontation in Civil War? It’s hard to say, especially when Iron Man will spend time during Infinity War with other heroes, like Doctor Strange and Spider-Man. It’s clear Steve and Tony have fundamental differences, and it’s worth noting that Cap is still a fugitive from justice, as he hasn’t signed on to the Sokovia Accords.
