Black Panther Blows Past Wonder Woman, Toy Story 3 in US

Marvel’s Black Panther continues to climb, breaking all kinds of records along the way. A few days ago, the film was being eyed as a contender for the title of highest-grossing Marvel movie of all time, domestically. Now, Black Panther has become the 20th highest-grossing film of all time in the United States, edging out the likes of Wonder Woman and Toy Story 3.

Black Panther’s ranking could change any day now, of course. The film is a mere $1 million away from toppling the film in the 19th spot — The Lion King. Given that Black Panther’s Tuesday haul in the U.S. was $10.1 million, it’s a distinct possibility that the film will climb well beyond its current standing.

Jordan as N’Jadaka/Erik “Killmonger” Stevens, Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross, Daniel Kaluuya as W’Kabi, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Angela Bassett as Ramonda, Forest Whitaker as Zuri and Andy Serkis as Ulysses Klaue.
