In many ways, it’ll be a new Fear The Walking Dead when the show returns for its fourth season premiere this Sunday on AMC. There’s a high amount of newcomers — headlined by Garret Dillahunt as John Dorie, Jenna Elfman as Naomi and Maggie Grace as Althea — and Lennie James’ Morgan making the high-profile move from The Walking Dead to its spinoff, the first direct interaction between the two shows.
Of course, familiar faces will return as well, including Kim Dickens’ Madison Clark and Colman Domingo’s Victor Strand, who appear in a new promo for Season 4, seen first on CBR. It’s not yet clear exactly what kind of roles the new characters will play on the show, but given the overall tone in this teaser, in classic Walking Dead franchise fashion, it looks like things will get worse before they get better.
“He’s made a decision about who he is to people, and who he wants to be to people,” James told CBR and other outlets earlier this month on a visit to the show’s Austin set. “That’s obviously involved, in the storytelling, a shift in location. We’re about to discover who he is and what’s changed about him.”
