Anime series Shirobako is set to receive an new animated movie!

Shirobako follows five girls chasing their dream of creating an anime in various roles, including animating, voice acting, writing and producing 3D computer graphics. The original anime aired from Oct. 2014 to Mar. 2015.

A visual of protagonist Miyamori Aoi, a first-year production assistant at Musashino Animation, was also released along with the news. While details are still scarce, the series’ official Twitter promises new challenges for Aoi and her friends.

Staff confirmed so far are Tsutomu Mizushima (directing), Michiko Yokote (script), Ponkan8 (character design), Kanami Sekiguchi (animation character design), Infinite (production) and P.A. Works (animation).
