Infinity War Finishes Box Office Run With 4th Highest Gross Ever

Avengers: Infinity War has been a success since it opened earlier this year, earning over $257 million domestically on its opening weekend and going on to break many domestic and international records. The massive success for Disney and Marvel has now finished its record-breaking run at the domestic box-office and become the fourth highest-grossing film domestically in the process.

Infinity War ended its run having earned slightly over $678 million domestically for a total of $2.046 billion worldwide. There’s no telling how long it will take for another film to unseat the superhero team-up film.

These earnings and rankings do not account for inflation.

The follow-up to Infinity War, Avengers 4, will release on May 3, 2019. Following Avengers 4, the box-office juggernaut that is the Marvel Cinematic Universe will continue with Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Paul Bettany, Anthony Mackie, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Tom Hiddleston, and Josh Brolin. The film is out now on digital HD and Blu-Ray.
