Infinity War’s Chris Hemsworth is Done with Filming

Thor actor Chris Hemsworth revealed today that he has completed filming on both of the Russo brothers’ upcoming Avengers movies, Avengers: Infinity War and the untitled Avengers 4. It seems like the majority of Infinity War actors have now concluded their filming obligations for the two movies.

Hemsworth’s Thor looks to play a major role in Infinity War. The film’s trailer revealed that Thor will meet up with the Guardians of the Galaxy in the ensemble movie that pits the remnants of the Avengers against the conquering Titan Thanos. The trailer also showed Thor struggling with an enormous, otherworldly machine, the origins and function of which have yet to be revealed.

Thor has gone through quite the change since his introduction to the Marvel Cinematic Universe back in 2011 with Thor. Originally an entitled, godly brat with a big hammer, Thor’s earthly ordeals have seemingly instilled in him a greater sense of purpose as the true protector of the Asgardian people, now without the aid of his trusty Mjolnir.

Debuting in theaters on May 4, 2018, Avengers: Infinity War is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and stars Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, Josh Brolin as Thanos, Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff, Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Chris Evans as Steve Rogers and Chris Hemsworth as Thor.
