Paramount’s A Quiet Place engrossed audiences with its use of silence to tell a thrilling story, and now Netflix is hoping to recapture that film’s success with Bird Box, its own apocalyptic tale that takes sight away from its characters.
In an interesting twist, though, Bird Box begins before the world essentially ended. We get to see the events that led to humanity fighting for its survival. Even more intriguing is the fact that the monsters in this film seem to bring our worst fears to life. The first official trailer for the Netflix original can be viewed below, as well as the first poster, which sees Bullock’s character cradling her children.
