The official website for The Rising of The Shield Hero: Relive The Animation, an RPG Maker MV game based on The Rising of The Shield Hero franchise, revealed on Wednesday that Kadokawa will release the game for PC via Steam on September 24. The game is slated to launch for iOS and Android devices this fall, and the overseas release will include English support.
The game is a 2D role-playing game with sprite-based character art and animation. The game will retell the story of the anime and allow players to experience the anime’s world. More than 700 cuts from the anime will appear in the game.
One Peace Books is releasing Yusagi Aneko‘s original novel series and Aiya Kyu‘s manga adaptation in English.
The The Rising of The Shield Hero anime series premiered with a two-hour special on January 9 and ran for 25 episodes. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan. The series was scheduled to launch on Crunchyroll with English subtitles on January 9, but Crunchyroll streamed the first 45-minute English-subtitled episode early on January 5. Crunchyroll premiered the first dubbed episode at last year’s Crunchyroll Expo in September 2018 with guests from the anime.
The anime will have two additional seasons.
