TV anime Nanatsu no Taizai: Imashime no Fukkatsu ( The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of the Commandments ) announced that it will premiere on “Anime Sunday 630” on MBS and TBS networks from Jan. 6. In addition, they also revealed the second visual and first PV for the show, and they confirmed that the opening theme will be performed by Flow×Granrodeo.
Based on Suzuki Nakaba’s manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine (Kodansha), The Seven Deadly Sins follows the titular group of knights and a princess in their fight to retake the kingdom.
The PV opens with the phrase, “As the biggest threat is closing in, the Seven Deadly Sins stand up once again”. It foreshadows the return of someone from Meliodas’ past, memories of the past coming back to life, and the reveal of a truth, complete with the upbeat action we’re used to from the first season.
The trailer also previews the new opening performed by Flow×Granrodeo, who first collaborated on “7 -seven-”, the ending theme for the first season. The title of the song hasn’t been revealed yet, but the single is slated for release on Jan. 24.
